powers in one lens. The bifocal contact lenses are being used since
1999 by patients suffering from presbyopia-- a vision disorder
characterized by an inability to read fine prints, like reading a book
or newspaper.

had to rely on eyeglasses with thick lenses. The frames of these
eyeglasses were heavy.
