Using glasses is very easy but all of us know that glasses do not do any special benefit to our personality and looks. Moreover, if you lead an active life, the glasses are very big responsibility to be handled. This is the reason contact lenses have been gaining increased popularity for some time now. They are virtually invisible when used but they are as effective as the glasses. The only thing that generally scares people away from using contact lenses is the hassle of applying and removing them.

While the contact lenses are made of very soft and eye friendly material, it is necessary that if you want to use contact lenses, you must know the process of putting them on and taking them off and to store them as well. Remember that our eyes are the most fragile part of all the exposed parts of our body. Even a slight mishandling of the  lenses can cause severe injuries to our eyes.

We start with discussing the way to put on contact lenses. You must wash your hands thoroughly with clean running water before you begin to do anything with the contact lenses. After you have washed the  hands and dried them, wet your contact lenses with the solution that came with the lenses. Now hold the lens at the tip of you finger. Bring it close to the eye and use your other hand to hold your eyelids firmly so as to stop blinking. Insert the lens in eye carefully and close the eye lid ti let it settle.

At the end of the day you have to remove your contact lens. Again wash your hands and hold your eyes firmly before you try to remove them. Be careful because this time the risk is much bigger. Carefully let your finger tip touch the lens and remove it.

You must also know how the lens is to be stored. The contact lenses must be stored in their lens boxes .  You must keep some lens solution so that the lens always floats in the solution.

Taking proper care of contact lenses is necessary because they are as fragile as your eyes.
