Angelic custom lenses are daily wear lenses.
These lenses are not recommended for extended wear or for wear while
sleeping. They are only for occasional wear. This custom contact lens is
hand painted. The FDA considers the angelic contact lenses as a cosmetic
contact lense, because they do not fit into the same category as
prescription contact lenses. Prescription contacts are considered to be
a medical device since they provide medical benefits, whereas, angelic
contact lenses serve no medical benefits, only cosmetic benefit. Just
like any other cosmetic product, they are treated as cosmetic contact
lenses.
Special effect contact lenses are as
safe as any other contact lens, as long as you follow the rules. Don't
sleep or swim while they are on. And clean them regularly. For contact
lens cleaning, you should use a proper contact lens cleaner. Do not
share your lenses with any of your friends and family. This will help
you get rid of eye infection and damage. Wash and rinse your hands
thoroughly with antibacterial soap and clean water before touching your
eyes, especially before insertion or contact lens removal.
Angelic
contact lenses are painted with special pigments to disguise the color
of your own eyes. Some styles can be translucent while others are
opaque. Because of the dyes, the lenses tend to be thicker than normal,
unpainted ones. Unless otherwise noted, each style has a small area in
the center with no pigment so that you can see. The area doesn't change
size in response to light like your own pupils do so the lenses can
affect your vision with what is described as a "haze" depending on the
lighting situation. A few designs have a very tiny pupil which increases
the haze factor so, be extra cautious of your surroundings if you choose
to wear one of these styles.
They will last for one to two years
if properly cared for. Be careful to avoid pinching the lenses when
removing them from your eyes. Causing them to fold weakens the material
and leads to tearing. Rinse with solution before inserting them in your
eyes. Keep lenses in solution when not wearing them so they do not dry
out. Always use a contact lens case. Change solution in storage case
every month while storing lenses. After one year of wearing, handling,
and cleaning, the lens material may begin to wear out and become more
susceptible to tearing. They may also begin to cause discomfort which
was not felt previously.
