| To use Soft Contact Lenses, opinions divided! |
|
When buying a soft contact lens, do remember to check the quality of the lens, the amount of oxygen they will let in your eyes and the percentage of water in the lens. Try to select lens with high quality polymer and a high water content which should ideally be above 50%. The lenses should also let enough oxygen through. A good choice in this case would be the Acuvue advance lenses or any focus contact. The next feature you need to check is the thickness of the lens. The more corrective power you require, the thicker the lens will be. However, thick lens can also put you at high risk of infection. So, if your eyesight is particularly bad you can opt for RPG instead of soft contact lenses. Some of other most important things that you should keep in mind before buying soft contact lenses include exposure to pollution where it is absolutely necessary to clean the lens and your eye when you are prone to something being stuck in between. It is also advisable not to try to sleep with your contact lenses on. If you notice any symptoms of eye disease, do not wear the lenses at all. And lastly, do follow the directions given by your eye doctor when it comes to using and maintaining the lenses. |
